RAJINI'S RANA

After the Recent blockbuster Robo, Rajini is doing  an animation film of his daughter Soundarya’s direction titled “HARA” now before the movie releases he is roped with another flick.
Rajinikanth(Shivaji Rao Gaekwad) is all set to come back in the direction of KS Ravi Kumar. The film will be titled as RANA and the shooting of the movie will be launched shortly.
This movie creates new hype as Superstar will be playing three different roles in this movie and will be produced by the his wife Latha Rajinikanth, On Ocher Studios. The full length feature film, will have Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone playing the female lead. and music composes by A.R. Rahman

VENKATESH AS CAPTAIN FOR TOLLYWOOD CCL

The film stars from various film industries are set to play cricket soon named as the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) similar to IPL. In this league of CCL, star cricketers from all the industries will take part. The teams are titled as Bollywood (Mumbai Heroes), Tollywood (Telugu Tigers), Sandalwood (Bangalore Stars) and Kollywood (Tamil Superstars). During the CCL six league matches will be conducted and one final, which will take off in January. The final winning team will receive 25 lakhs as the prize money.

Manchu Vishnu owns the team while Venkatesh is the captain for Tollywood cricket team. Samantha and Tapsee are selected as brand ambassadors for the Tollywood team. Salman khan and Surya are the captains for Bollywood and Kollywood CCL teams respectively

BOX OFFICE REPORT

2011 started on a dull note for Tollywood as the first two releases of this year Graduate and Parama Veera Chakra ended up as big duds. However, Mirapakay starring Raviteja clicked well with the festival crowds and kept the cash registers buzzing.

Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu despite starting on a decent note at the box office is heading to become a huge flop given its huge budget. Golconda High School got the best reviews among the Pongal releases but only ended up as a commercial flop.

Ala Modalaindi on the other hand is picking up in all the centers with a positive word of mouth. The unit is coming up with innovative publicity that is helping the cause. Wanted starring Gopichand was opened to average collections all over the state. The film is carrying very bad talk and it will be a Herculean task for this film to stay on top at the box office.

So, now Tollywood box office has only two successful films doing all the talking. Congrats to Mirapakaya and Ala Modalaindi teams.

RAJANNA GOING TO BE A S.S.RAJAMOULI'S FILM

The shooting of Nagarjuna's 'Rajanna' is currently going on in Hyderabad in a well decorated set. It is going to be an unofficial Ranamouli's film. Earlier it was announced that Rajamouli would be directing a few scenes. But as per the sources, the entire direction department has been taken over by Rajamouli. Also, he is trying to become too much perfectionist and he is not leaving the actors unless he gets the kind of output that he is looking for. For some shots, he went for more than 15 takes on Nagarjuna and Sneha before finalizing the right shot.

One more example of his perfectionism is, if he is not going to make it to the shooting on any particular day, prior to that day he is capturing the expressions of the actors using a handycam and asking his father Vijayendra Prasad to shoot exactly the way he shot using the handycam. He is that particular about the output. Even the official fight masters Ram and Lakshman are just making their presence at the location and watching Rajamouli directing the fight sequences.

FILIM CRITICS!! BE-WARE OF FILM MAKING

If you are a film critic and avid commentator of other films, then you should read this. A top producer today stated about film critics that "unexpected fate may land you in that captain' chair only to make your previous glory go dumb". The whole of Film Nagar is talking about this now.

It will be OK if you remain as a critic, as everything goes wrong once you turn Director, a top producer stated today after watching Gopichand's 'Wanted', directed by BVS Ravi. Before turning director, BVS Ravi used to work for websites and cinema magazines as a review writer and critic. As per sources, he used to criticize other writers also before commenting the cinemas. Henceforth, the whole of industry today watched his debut movie, to find out the lapses and magnify his mistakes. Much to their enthusiasm, the movie managed to get a below average score and everyone nailed this director for making such a flick.

As everyone got a chance, producers who were injured by Ravi’s earlier reviews, now opened their mouths for firing those 'deep heated' missiles. One producer stated that it is easy to comment on others work and difficult to make a cinema on their own. His bottom line is that these critics must be aware of Film Making before directing or writing about films.
